Fireworks Poem

                       Boom Boom!! What is that noise? I can hear it again.

Stop it! stop it!  I need to go to sleep!!!!!  

I walked outside.

 Woooooooaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!

It's fireworks!

The Fireworks look colourful and twinkling ,  

           like exploding stars.  Sparkling, smoking,shining stars in the night sky.

                                    

Floating oranges

We were experimenting if an unpeeled orange or a peeled orange would float in the water. The orange with the skin on should float because the skin of the orange has air in it and helps like  floaties. The peeled orange should sink to the bottom because it does not have the peel to keep it afloat. 

Kapa Haka

Yesterday the middle team kapa haka had a performance. Me and my friends were so excited. Then we had to go to the kindergarten just down the road by Bryant road.Then we had to peform and that was my first time performing at a kindergarden. The songs that we song was Whiriroki,Toi ea.
Then we went to  this bog elderly Hotel.

That was so much fun!!!!!!!!!

 

The Best Holiday ever :)

In the holidays I had the best holiday ever. Well In the holidays I went to Ten pin bowling with my cousin Tyron Wich who you used come to Vardon schhorother andl in Rm 1 then he moved to Kimihia school In Huntly. And try and guess who won ten pin bowling my cousin Tyron who Is 6 yrs old.And I came second and My mum came last. And the scores were: 107,104,83. Then my aunty came to the cafe next to the ten pin bowling and came with my nan and brother and cousins. The menu I chose was the kids breakfast. Then we went to the desesert shop at Iguanas In town and we had to walk there because It was just down the road.And the desesrt menu I chose was the raspeberry and white chocolate chesse cake.Then we had to home and have a nap and that was the best day ever.


Then Me and my Mum and my brother went to Napeir on 11-10-13 and that took us 3 hrs to Travel to Napier.

One day it was a wonderful morning. I was getting ready to go to a place called the fairy garden. So my mum Tracey and I went to The Fairy garden because it was my cousins Birthday.  But when we were there my mum told me to go in and say to my cousin “Hi. But I really didn’t go inside  because I was busy doing a painting  the magic painting but when I was painting the picture of me like the real me. I saw a bright light. What is that bright light? ohhhhhh nooooo I cannot see. I cannot paint at all.

Suddenly I heard a crack.... One day I was in a rush to have my healthy shake because it helps to get fit. So I got in the car and I went on the speediest mode so I can get there early cause I always be late for class. Then Suddenly Boom I fell in a crack. So I tried to call out for help and no one heard me so I shouted out help me!!!!!!!!! And no one heard me still but only my best friend Ana so she helped me up and finally I got some fresh air. So I ran fast as I can to get my healthy shake. So when I got there I was late because I was stuck in a hole so I got fired. So I hired a another job but I still remember

 my other job. So i screamed out Noooooo!!!!

Kapa Haka

For kapa haka the middle team is going to peform to the whole school. We are doing a warm up before we perform because we have to know what we are doing. The favourite thing I bet I'm going to do  is singing the Maori songs.Our Maori songs that we are singing are Whirokiroki, Toui, E Hornorie. I BET IT'S GOING TO BE FUN!!!!

First we came up with an idea called the ocean land.  Then we started to draw our costume but
before we drew the costume we thinked and thinked what kind of costume should we make so we made a jellyfish costume.So we made the costume out of paper.Next we made it for real like we got an umbrella and some bubble wrap and painted the bubble wrap blue.And then we hot glue gun the bubble wrap onto the umbrella.

The Garden bins

One shiny bright day, It was a great morning.  There were 11 kids called Tukotahi, Titus,Makayla,Debbie,Leah,Adelei,Kasiti,Thomas, and Manaia and Ashton and Aaron. So they dreamed of a magical garden place because every time when its there b.day they always wanted to go to the magical garden place so when there mum was gone and went to shopping they took there dads car and went to Magical gardens and they said to there self this is the moment of my time.  And we had to dress up as a character. But Tukotahi dressed up as Mr Awesome Monday night dude with an hammer and a steel ladder to be the powerful person in the whole wide world. And Debbie dressed up as sleeping beauty. And Titus dressed up as Mr Strong man. And Thomas dressed up as Superman. And Aaron dressed up as speed man because he can run faster than all the kids in NZ.And Ashton dressed up as flash. And Leah dressed up as Suzy Jones. And Makayla dressed up as wonder woman because she can camouflage .And Adelei dressed up as Cat women.

• Don't talk to others while I am working.

The spooky scary weird house

Once upon there was a tree and a man.This man was walking down the street. He saw a humongous tree he said to himself' "I should walk down and have a look" So he did.Then  walked and walked then he heard a sound  a creepy sound .Then he saw a bridge and then he stood on the bridge then he fell on the ground then he said ouch!  He had a look inside the tree then his stomach was rumbling and he got so hungry.So he ate apples kiwi fruit and jam sandwich's and he had lemon fizzy drink for his lunch. 
So he fell asleep. The End

Pohutukawa tree facts

On top of the leaves are shiny and green with a waxy.

And the people think it's a Christmas tree.

The pohutukawa likes to grow in warm places by the sea.

The provides a home for birds and insects.

Insects such as weevils and moths eat leaves and flowers.

The Roots grow deep under the soil and sand.

And the bark is rough.

Fractions

We were learning about fractions. My name has 5/5 letters.I have 2/5 vowels in my name and I have 3/5 consonants in my name too. 2/5+3/5=5/5.

Camp reflection

My favorite part of the camp was sleeping in the tent. But it was freezing cold, so i had two blankets. The slip n slide was another one of my favorite. But when the bubbles came into my mouth, it was so yucky.

Yesterday we made a word foto app  on the ipod .It was so fun on the ipod.Mine looks pretty cool.

Pirongia trip

 

I learned about the kahikatea tree that it is the tallest tree in NZ.The forest floor is wet and dark and it's down here.There mostly mosses and ferns in this layer.My  favourite part of  the poringia walk is putting my feet in the river but i  was a bit scared.

Tabloids

On Tuesday we did  tabloids and it made me fit for tug of war. My favourite activity was the parachute because we went under it. we played a game under the parachute and it was so  fun.Then we had a slurpy. They were awesome.

Powerful learners

In room 7 we are learning to become powerful managers. That means puting away property in the right place.I need to focus on sitting straight and heads down when I'm working.  

Swimming

Every day we always go swimming in the school pool and I need to practice my breathing and backstroke and freestyle. I can do my horizontal rotation and float on my back and my front.

Welcome back to school

This year Im in room7 and I have a special teacher in my class.I'm excited about camping at school for one night and swimming at school.
